Your success as a swimmer depends on how well you handle the pain and fatigue of oxygen debt. You get tired and quit mentally long before your body gives out physically. This means you can always do better than you think you can. You don’t always want to believe everything that you think. Your thinking is a product of your front brain. How you respond to the thoughts that you’re tired should be to refocus in the “now” – what you are doing in the moment. Try focusing on your breathing.
